The Magician’s Nephew is the first chronological tale in The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis although it was published sixth. The novel details the creation of fantasy world of Narnia by Aslan the lion and centers around a lamp-post brought from London in 1900. The novel is a prequel to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, the most famous book from the series. The series has been popular since its publication in the 1950’s, it has been translated into 47 languages, and has been made into many film, TV, radio, and stage adaptations.
